• In this release, the institutions will now have the option to administrate the availability for messages. Users will have a new experience in Messages, improving the way to identify new and unread messages.
• In the grades landing page, users will be able to see the overall course grades for each course.
• Now, when the administrator sets a time for inactive session termination, the auto login feature in the app will no longer renew the session, and the user will be notified before being logged out.

In this patch release, the issue related to the SSO link not reading SSO session after logging into the mobile app has been resolved. Clients experiencing this problem will now find that the LTI link correctly reads the SSO session and no longer prompts for additional logins on the mobile app, aligning with the expected behavior seen on web browsers.

We’re very excited introduce Ally into the Blackboard App! Ally provides a way for you to generate alternative formats for course content. If you currently see Ally in the web browser view of your course, you can now use in the app, too!
For example, do you learn better by listening to audio instead of reading text? We’ve got you covered—Ally can generate a downloadable MP3 from a PDF your instructor provided.
We also fixed:
- Issue where announcement text was cut off on iPads in landscape mode
- Issue where a blank screen showed after a user put the app into the background and then reopened

We’ve also fixed the following bugs:
- Ungraded items were not shown for Ultra courses
- 401 error when opening content in some courses
- Issue where links in feedback were not working properly
- Ally alternative format option not available in some course content

We’re very excited introduce Ally into the Blackboard App! Ally provides a way for you to generate alternative formats for course content. If you currently see Ally in the web browser view of your course, you can now use in the app, too!
For example, do you learn better by listening to audio instead of reading text? We’ve got you covered—Ally can generate a downloadable MP3 from a PDF your instructor provided.
We also fixed:
- Issue where announcement text was cut off on iPads in landscape mode
- Issue where a blank screen showed after a user put the app into the background and then reopened
- Crash when a user navigated through the app while offline
